aha, it will be a good change to have the dive bombers release bombs at teh bottom of dive. no more bombs falling unrealistically through fuselage.

Hey evryone, im new to the forum and I have to say that Ostfront is amazing and I have been astounded by the new models. One thing that I would love to see is armour skirts on the Stug's, Pz iv and Pz 3, I dont actually know if it is possible but I think it would look amazing

It is possible, and has been seen on some mods already.
Note:PzIV,Stug III etc.
Maybe later could show up on ACTHTs later period battles. All depends on how much interest there will be in his first output.

Hi Mike, welcome to the Ostfront Board.
As Foxy has said, yes it is possible it just requires some new models. There is already a Pz IV ausf H (well two versions) kicking around. The RTV mod has one as does TC 2. TC 2 also has The Stug ausf G with skirts.
Certainly if Ostfront is supported I will be doing more Campaign Packs and these will include new models to represent units during that specific period covered by the Campaign pack.
I have posted a poll on the CDV forum inviting fellow gamers input on the next campaign, so you may wish to visit this and make your chose ;D

Stugs been re-textured. I will be finished within a couple of days and will post some family album shots Adrian Adrian, I know you must be very busy at the moment, but how are those "family album shots" going. We haven't seen much to keep us going in the last few weeks. It would be really nice to see some. regards sunray

Really like those early russian tanks , it'll be great if we could have the five-turreted T-35 heavy tank as well ;D

Welcome to the forum Jonn and I ma glad you like what you see. I toyed with the T 35 and believe me it was very tempting. However, as only a battalion was ever deployed and they saw service elsewhere the priority had to go somewhere else. Lots more additions planned including various new Russian units for future releases. Adrian

Adrian, Here is a quote from a post on the CDV BK forum, by a BH developer. "In researching for the game we spoke to one of the few still living survivors of the Africa Corps. Those who are into historical detail won't be disappointed in Burning Horizon. This veteran told us that they used the armoured Hanomag SdKfz 251 vehicle to drive through heavy machine gun fire right to the enemy positions, jumped off and stormed the positions. So we changed the Sdfz 251 to give it better armour and allow it to cope better with the terrain. This is very interesting. Presuming it is true, and I don't see any reason to doubt it, we can say it is reality. Is the SdKfz 251 in OstFront capable of doing this without being destroyed, or loosing so much health it may as well be? I also see that someone is playing around with putting an MG mount on the top of a Stug. I have seen photos of Stugs in Russia, with a shield protected MG mounting on the top. Only thing is, I don't know when they started to impliment this modification. regards sunray

This is very interesting. Presuming it is true, and I don't see any reason to doubt it, we can say it is reality. Is the SdKfz 251 in OstFront capable of doing this without being destroyed, or loosing so much health it may as well be? sure, the sdkfz251 and the sdkfz 250 are both totally capable of advancing unscathed through machine gun fire just like they were in real life. the troops inside also receive 100%protection from all bullets. both vehicles are also armed with 2 machine guns for protection. allows for real war tactics. i will post a screenshot of 251/1 with a busload of troops advancing unharmed machinegun fire as soon as i make one. i have seen plenty of pics of the stugIII with the shield up too. actually looking up pic in a book right now! ok the pic i have, it is a hinged shield with a hole for an mg, but no mg is present. it is on the right side of teh vehicle. there is a convoy of stug III and all have the shield up.
