Tell us a bit about yourself.
My alias is Erich von Schpetzka. I live in Hawaii, I've been playing Blitzkreig since it came out. After doing some general tweaking of the game myself I looked for mods and found Ostfront.
I am majoring in History and am a general WWII nut. If you have any questions about WWII I'm more than happy to answer it or research it and then provide you with what I found.

Hi, I am the Ostfront Creator Been playing Blitz since July last year then started to mod it soon after. Did not like the original game play, but saw that the engine had potential, so here we are with Ostfront. I have been wargaming for well over 20 years, mostly miniature gaming, but obviously over the last few years on the computer. Notable games are Steel Panthers, the Close Combat Series, Panzer General and Combat Mission I & 2. I like playing FPS games too. Its amazing how much tension can be released with a good blast of UnReal ;D I also enjoy researching military history, although my main area of interest is the Napoleonic period, WW2 comes a close second. Hello All, My screen name is Kalidor. I reside in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. I have been wargaming for 35+ years starting with boardgames and then minitures. In 1986 I was introduced to the world of computer gaming and have been addicted ever since. I'm also a US Civil War reenactor, which is a form of real life wargaming. Anyway, my sons game across CDV's Blitzkrieg and purchased it for me for a Christmas Present Dec. 03 I love the game but realized very quickley that it had potential to be much greater than the original commercial offering. I've played the Ostfront tutorial several times and am anxiously awaiting further developments. So far it takes the game engine much closer to its potential. regards Kalidor

Hi All,
You may see a message from me occassionally. I do more reading than talking. I have been a realtime tactical wargamer since the year dot. Started with a game called Fields of Glory (Napoleonic), quite a few years ago. I play any era computer wargames. I was a beta tester for Blitzkrieg, and I am currently dividing my time between playing Blitzkrieg (and its great mods) and the Napoleonic mod for Medieval:Total War.
I have never played a computer game for as long as I have played Blitzkrieg, and I think it is an exceptional game, with a whole lot of potential for modders. I particularly like the OstFront mod, as it is by far the most realistic to date. I am looking forward to playing the full mod (when it is released), and also the modern day mods that are on the horizon with sepp_cz.
regards
sunray ;D ;D

Hi All,
That's me above. I forgot to log in before I posted the message. I was wondering why I was being told that I couldn't post under that name, because it belonged to a member.
I guess it's just one of those days.

;D err, im only 26 years old. what really got me hooked on gaming was the Lone Wolf books by Joe Dever - from there i moved on to D&D and Warhammer, and eventually Squad Leader. i have played quite a few other games from time to time so have a good understanding of game mechanics. I first played a tactical tbs on Apple 2 called Overrun, a SSI game, with "what if" ww3 type scenarios, and tried plenty of games like Warcraft, Command and Conquer, Age of Empires etc. i also own Sudden Strike 2 but i dont like it as much as Blitzkrieg.
i have always been very interested in ww2, and enjoy researching it's many facets and i collect books...
like the rest of you, i saw a lot of potential in blitzkrieg, but because i can't mod i just offered suggestions/discussion at the cdv and nival forum.
i have played the tutorial many times, Hornet's Nest and All Quiet - its good, very good. I cannot play blitzkrieg without the mod anymore, so i am also awaiting future installments! wolfgang

Hey like Adrian, I would be very interested in the new mod of Napoleonic war, based on the MTW game.
Sunray, where can I get this mod.

Adrian and Foxy, Sorry for the delay, but the last couple of times I checked in on the forum I didn't check this thread (I always check the new units). The Napoleonic Mod for Medieval: Total War can only be used if you have the Viking Expansion add-on installed. But believe me, its worth it. I bought the Viking Expansion just so I could install the Napoleonic mod. Here is the link to the Lords Napoleonic mod website: thelordz.co.uk/The mod can be downloaded from the downloads section. You should download the version 2 "full install" mod, the patch for version 2, and the version 2.09 mod. And the version 1.1 map pack. Install the Version 2 mod, then the version 2 patch, then the version 2.09. And the map pack, of course. Check out the screenshots section. They are just a sample of what you can expect in the game. This mod converts the whole game. You can play a full campaign of Napoleon: Total War. Version 2.09 is still a beta. There is still a whole lot more they are working on to improve the mod. And there apparently is a American Civil War mod (by the same people) in the pipeline as well. regards sunray ;D ;D ;D
