Hi Ram, Sorry, no civilians nor animals in Kursk. Historically, the defensive line laid out by the Russians around the Kursk salient was a no man's land about 25 kilometers wide. All civilians, & as a result all cattle, had been evacuated from the area months ago.

BBFred,
Good call, you are absolutely right! After a couple of years of war, the region was pretty well combed over.
Thanks for the reply and thanks for making a great game even better - greatly appreciated!

As there have been a few posts enquiring about the Lend Lease units, here is a shot of the Lend-Lease ground units. http://www.activegaming.org\Project Kursk\images\Lend_Lease.jpg[/img] The M3 Grant and Valentine were in common use in several independant Tank Regiments. The Churchill was used in the Southern sector with a Guard Tank Brigade and the Bren carriers were in use with mechanised Recce units. Also note the new Gaz truck with AA MG mount. Adrian

Very beautifully! Good fellows, a rare case when all so beautifully do(make) abroad (I of Russia and frequently similar add-on in other countries were not so beautiful).

Yep the two smaller tanks in the foreground, with Churchill in between, tough little customers if you meet them on an Ost game.
More true to life in this game, the crews, both British(colonial) and the Russians liked them.
There biggest drawback was the 2 Pdr gun, but was Increased later to 6Pdr, which made it very good Indeed. Used in the Desert with the 8th army, and in Italy with the 6th Armoured Div, and of course lend lease to the Russians.
Was allso modified, to Archer17Pdr AT gun,Bishop/25PdrSPg, bridgetank and as DD tank experiment for D Day landings.

Nice units. Especially the mortar version of Sd.Kfz. 251, Pz II ausf.L Luchs and that GAZ with AA MG.
BTW, GAZ with AA MG would be very useful for Hungary. ;D

Sorry for the delay in posting new screen shots, but the team has been busy working on some challenging mission maps for Project Kursk ;D Anyway a couple more new units for the Russians. Firstly the huge 203mm B4 tracked howitzer. This saw service throughout the war in heavy Artillery Brigades. Also a new addition to the Russian trucks and particularly handy for towing light guns, the Gaz 67 jeep. Adrian
