The Pz III Ausf J (without skirts), L (without skirts or with turret skirts only) & M (with turret and full skirts) will be in Kursk. You can see the 2 latter models in action in the screens of the first page of this thread.

Well ilija1, the Russians did capture loads of german equipment and used the turrets chassis for tanks and sellf propelled guns, the Pz III was one of thease.
But was produced later than Kursk battle, they were not used as original tanks, but converted useing parts, the rest were melted down for other things.
The Russians needed all the scrap they could lay there hands on to build more tanks. ;D

Yep your right there on the subject, but the Russians were produceing there own tanks, so the spare parts were there to replace losses.
The German tanks made good Improvements to the technical side of things, but the metal I think was more Important, plus the copper and such.
Training and all that goes with it, would have made shortages in crews.
They did use captured weapons,'yes', but only local.

Will the Russian side in the campaign be making use of lend-lease material, such as the M3 Grant for example?

More excellent work I like the tracks running across the river bed. Can units actually cross the river?

Adding a ford is a great plus! The 105mm Stug is one of my favorites! Are you going to include civilians and animals as well? Have you thought about boats or pontoons for river crossings? Thanks so much for all the hard work. Can't wait to see your final product.
