Would it be possible to change some things belonging to the game play?
1. There is no real button for "stop Fire" like it is in Sudden Strike. And the ambush button is in my eyes a complete nonsense because not really usefull. Couldn`t you change the function from ambush in a complete stop of fire? Because the very high site for example of tanks makes them seeing very much and for that fact attacking targets from a high distance and so very early. But when you are very close to a target you can`t make them stoping fire by the ambush button. Ìt`s always deactivating it automaticly and so there is no other way to make it possible activating the ambush function than in going back on I high distance to the enemy to make the own tanks stop to fire. Thats the first thing.
2. The german 20mm flak (AA- gun) is a not very big and heavy canon but in the game there is no way to move it with wheels by the canon crew. Thats not good. And by the way it would be cool to take a better shooting sound for that canon. At the end of that treat I give you a good example where you could easily and ideal find good weapon sounds belonging to that weapons or vehicles.
3. The driving sound of the new german halftracks and the chain motorcycle are only represented by the old and original blitzkrieg truck sound respectively by the original motorcycle sound. These sounds are also not good representing the sounds of the halftrack transporting trucks without armor. What I miss here is a real chain sound with a dominant rattling of the chain.
4. And in an other treat on that board I said that I miss the screaming trumpet sound of the german stuka dive bomber.
5. The machine sounds are made real good because it has a hard drumming basicsound.
So where should you find all that sounds? Very easy. You all know the Film "The Soldier James Ryan" with the actor Tom hanks.
In that whole film you can find super examples for real sounds for the MG-42, the chain motorcycle, the german halftrack and the shooting sound of the german 20 mm AA gun. The stuka sound you can find by a seeking machine in the internet.
6. When I press the "hold position button" anyway after a short time tanks always leaving their positions to drive on against the enemy but that is not good because mostly its the end of these units when they do what they want. Its the same with the "bury in button". Couldn`t you fix something to make that orders standing so long the player is not moving manual the unit to another position? Would be real cool.
And to the subject "What campaigns next"?
Hmm. You started with the german campaign and I would bring it to an end back to the seelower hills a little bit east of berlin. Separated in historical campaigns belonging to the different army groups north, mid and south. So I wouldn`t jump from operation typhoon to kursk. In my eyes a to big jump. The fight of army group south into the kaukasus oil fields in baku and to stalingrad is to important to overjump it. Even the fights for sevastopol and in in the southern part of the northern army group the longest not so well known kettle battle of the wwII "The kettle of demjansk" that was continuing going on from january 1942 - february 1943, where 100.000 german soldiers where ketteled in and liberated at the end. Alone this kettle battle would fill a hole campaign serie. Alone for the town charkow ( west of stalingrad) this town changed its owner five times and the last fights about that town were given the introduction to the front situation in 1943 and so to the battle of kursk. Also in the northern parts of army group north the battles for leningrad and the first, second and third battles of the ladoga lake. So I would finaly finish the german campaign in the hole and then change to russia or other countries.
So, I think that was it for that time. Even for that critic points that I gave to you. It`s the best Mod or Add on that was made for Blitzkrieg. I wished Blitzkrieg, Sudden Strike or even Panzers would be playable in such a real atmosphere.
