In the original game they were very much of a liability, only useful for cannon fodder (died too quickly) and for blowing tracks of tanks!
The lethality of small arms fire has very much been decreased with weapon ROF and accuracy much reduced.
I have also altered the parameters for the formations the infantry can take. You will now find when they take up defensive positions infantry are very much harder to kill, but their ROF goes done and they don't move very fast. Likwise, in offensive they are easier to hit but cover the ground alot faster.
I have also removed the generic a/t rifle as this now forms a seperate team and squads also follow historical organisations.
Squads still have the ability to tackle light armour being equiped with granade bundles, rifle grenades and molotovs.
Infantry are now keen to use their HE grenades when assaulting trenches and buildings. They are also good at destroying open top armoured cars, in fact they are so keen this becomes their No 1 proirity (which can be annoying).
You will also find flamethrower teams for both sides. Now usually people don't like these weapons (for obvious reasons) so they get targeted very quickly. But if you do get them in range of bunkers and light tanks they are very effective. Contrary to popular belief well armoured vehicles take more than a sniff from a flamethrower to explode!

The initial campaign is on the Eastern Front 1941. When I release a campaign for later on in the war, yes Panzerfaust and lots of other goodies will be available.

In that case is there a chance of seeing the G41 show up. I realize it was rare so maybe stick only with the rarer HQ squads.

Unlike the original game my own remit is to represent weapons that were more commonly used during WW2 The G41 probably won't see an appearance. but its off-spring will the Gew43 and Stg 44. When I get round to doing mid to late war campaigns I will use the excellent Panzer Granadiers, SS and Para troops produced by BBFred of the RTV team. Adrian
