Hi Adrian, I think it would be a good idea to add a Stuh 42 and a StuIG33 to your Mod - fortunatly they are only slight modifications of the StugIII F / (or D for effect reasons)
as the Stugs were forced to act as antitank units there was a lack of the original stug-purpose (inf-ari) and the german answer (as usual) were new types
the Stuh 42 is just a 105mmFH18 on a Stug III F Wespe-Range with better armor StuIG 33 is a 150mm SIG (Brummbär-Class) on a PzIII - chassis STUH 43 a weaker Brummbär<br> for testing purposes i packed these units together with a STUH thingyer Max (Hummel-chassis wirh a 105mm lFH) to give the german troops weapon systems to counterbalance the early russian SU122 as SFH
for the recons i suggest to add the Sdkfz 234 1 20mm - Sdkfz 234 3 75mm KwK 50 - Sdkfz 234 4 75 mm KwK41 as variants of the existing Sdkfz 234 2 Puma as i tested this makes fast exploring attacks against T26/T70s mor attractive
ist there another downloadable version of your mod above the 1.0 ?

Those are all good additions t2k. But the period for this first mod OSTFront is in the early period 1940/41 for the invasion of Russa.
So if Adrian continues from this time in Russa, thease will come in later.
All thease improvements to existing chassis was as a result of encounters with Russian equipment.
So I can safely say thease could be included later, if avaliable to the game Blitz .

got me - i cant believe adrian will stop at kiew :-)
wasn´t there the 2 sig´s pz I/II chassis and the little first marder on the early days in russia ? just for gaming purposes - you can´t use the hummel - it would make sense for me to add these light armoured witzers instead of the ari - thats for weapon range reasons never suits blitzkrieg-maps
and the 234/1 (0mm Flak)was in use and is a very suitable weapon
from the tcIII units i modified the sdkfz´s 250/251 with a flamethrower/and a pak 37 (7,5 pak Kwk/pak40) later these units made in the historical line much sense for the pz-gren-units
as i read yesterday there were variants of the pz-werfer 15 cm (8/21/30 cm) 1942 up :-)

early period 1940/41 i like the idear because it seems to me also that with big tanks (1943-45) , its not good fore the playability anyway !! . seems you soldiers are useless most of the time .

t2k. The 234 armoured cars series came much later in the war, It was the 231 series that was around at this time, and yes there were others like the marder1 4.7cmPak L/43.4, and you could even get away with the 15cmsIGG33 on pz II chassis, even if they were all sent to the Desert AK.
The whole Idea is to start early and work up,thats why the Pz IV series would only go up to Ausf E, and at a stretch the AusfF still with the short 7.5cm KwK37 L/24 gun.
!942 sore the changes you want and the game goes up to Smolensk not Kiev.
We also know that the SdKfz 10 demagD7 was around then, and the first 5cm Pak38 was mounted in the AT role on this chassis, but only a field modification, not produced. this also mounted the 2cm FLak30, but there is no skins for this one yet. In 1940 there was a 8.8cm FLak18 L/56 mounted on a Sdkfz 8 and used in the AT role.
Again none are made for game.
So Adrian is trying to keep the units etc to the period of 1940/41. Hope this helps and you enjoy it.

As the campaign packs progress new models will be available to use.
I would certainly like to see more armoured car variants, together with more of the various Half tracks and SPG vehicles.

You've won me Adrian !! I too, would love to see lots more of those armoured support vehicles in your mods. I am still here, waiting patiently. I check in every other day. Just because I don't say anything, doesn't mean I am not calling in and reading the latest. I have just ordered TC 3. I am hoping that it's as good as they say it is. Got to have something while I wait for OstFront you know. I have been sidetracked by the American Civil War lately. I have just bought the movie "Gods and Generals" to add to my collection. It covers the timeframe from the start of the war to Gettysburg. It is quite good, but not as good as the first movie "Gettysburg". I believe they are about to make the third in the trilogy "Last Full Measure", which covers the events after Gettysburg to the end of the war. All the best for now. sunray

TC-3 has lots of good points, but has been made in my view a tester for TC-4.

new TC-MP Addon packs together TC 1-3 common units and introducing french units - i prefer the russian front for real war feeling - but for adrians early war concentration his units may be well placed against these french units too
