The Mission Barbarossa Multiplayer update is available. This updates MB to version 1.1 and adds the ability to play Multiplayer games through the menu interface screen. Please note the menu screen will only allow access to local and Direct IP play.
Available with this update are 3 multiplayer maps. Mission Barbarossa 1, 2 & 3.
MB 1 is a flag control map and is a "taster" map.
MB 2 and 3 Are essentially the same map but for 2/4 players. The German player(s) have to assault the Russians defending two river crossings to take a defended town.
In the 4 player version the German players will control two combined battle groups while the Russian players will be split between infantry and tank forces.
In these maps "morale" is scripted for the infantry on both sides.
Version 1.1 also allows map makers to gain access to the Mission Barbarossa mod files through the Blitzkrieg MAP EDITOR to create their own MP maps which we at ACTive Gaming openly encourage.

To get a successful connection while playing MP you will need to make sure that all players are using identical files. Check the screen shot below. This is what you should have in your main Blitzkrieg/Run/Data directory: If you any other files, such as mods, these should be removed to another location, until you have tested that they work with your fellow players. You should also have a clean install of Mission Barbarossa, although you may use the Range Mod update as long as all players have this installed. When connecting to a server and you get a "wrong resources" message this usually means you have in-compatible files. If while playing you get a data corruption message this also means that you have differing files. Please note that the Blitzkrieg Netcode is not very flexible and may cause hang ups and lost connections, especially if you have a high ping rating while playing.
