First mission south problem

Hello, we have a problem with the first mission south at BK Portal. A gamer says the the order to place the artillery on the western part of the map will not come. Just the message appears to bring the artillery to the hill, but not to place it there like on the eastern side of the map. He promisses that there is no russian soldier left on the hill on the western side. How is the script function, what is has to be fullfilled to receive the message to place the order on the western side of the map.

Thanks for a quick answer because all other problems that we had so far are to find these observer teams, never to place the Artillery.

Very weird indeed, I checked the script again and if that player got the objective arrow to get his artillery battery to the east, there's no reason why he wouldn't get the one to the west. Actually the eastern one can't get active before the western one does...

So I don't know what to say, does he have 2 "Place artillery bty" orders in his objective window, or only one? I know there were some translation issues in the French version at least, where "western" & "eastern" positions were jumbled up in the text files.

Yes but there were two messages as far as i remember, the frist was to bring the artillery to the two positions and when done so to unload the artillery, these were different orders or not. As far as i understood, he received the orders to drive with the artillery to the eastern and western position but then he just receives the order to unload the eastern one and not the western one.

Am i correct that these are different orders ? Then when unload the artillery should follow the order to find the two observer teams.

Hi,

You get a message top left of the screen when each arty bty is at the right spot, but not an objective as such. Maybe he missed the message for the western one in the thivk of battle, but it doesn't pause a problem in itself, the objective could still be completed.

Unless he didn't patch the game to 1.31 or 1.4... Then there was a small chance that the western message wouldn't trigger, especially if he cleaned up the area of FO team & snipers before moving his artillery guns there. Maybe this is what is happening here?

Yepp that´s what it was, he played without patch and killed the FO team and the rest of the russians before moving his Artillery.
