What's supposed to happen next...?

Hi, I'm on Northern mission 5, the one where you have to use the Goliaths to clear the bunkers. Here's where I'm at:

Cleared the 4 bunkers with the Goliaths, then got new objectives to clear two mine alleys. I have now cleared these and the game has acknowledged this, you know the little noise and the arrows have gone. But nothing is happening, just to be sure I have left the system in this state for over 30 mins.

All the objectives in the main menu are done - all ticked green. The option to finish the mission is greyed out so it's not over. So have I missed something or is this a bug.

Did you try to advance on the russian positions, if i am not wrong after this you should recive reinforcments.

Tried that. Also loaded a save game from before the mine clearing and tried clearing the lanes in a different order, same thing. The game is not hung, it just doesn't seem to know what to do next.

Does anyone know what should happen next?

Hi,

At that stage the only thing that could hold you up is that you didn't clear the Maslovo depot yet. Did you scroll down in the objective window see if that objective was cleared? Do you have forces established in the depot sector?

I haven't been given any objective regarding any depots yet. Where is the depot? The only other thing I have done is to clear out the little village in the top right hand corner, I did this before the mine clearance as they were taking pot shots at my engineers! I think there was a warehouse there. The only objectives showing in the menu are:

Briefing - done
Goliaths - done
Mine alley 1 - done
Mine alley 2 - done

Yes the warehouse is the Maslovo depot. Move a unit back there next to the warehouse, or get an infantry squad inside it to make sure, and the scenario should resume. You also may still have a couple Russian infantrymen in the houses close to the warehouse left to clear out.

Tried moving units over there, but no depot mission is offered, the game just sits there. So I restarted the mission from scratch and this time left the village and depot alone, and sure enough when I clear the mines I get offered the depot objective.

Seems like the script can't handle the situation where the depot gets cleared BEFORE the mine objective is finished.

P.S. Now I appreciate how dumb it was for the Germans not to fit the Elefants with MG's!

Strange because the game should have kept checking and grant you the objective as soon as you got a squad close to or inside the warehouse... Well anyway glad you sorted it out. ;D
