I'm playing the Prokhorova map and have just held all the villages. Now a couple of sturmoviks arrive in the bottom right of the map. When the second one is destroyed the explosion kills the game. I've applied the no explosion .pak file but the exposion keeps happening and killing the game.
I'm using kursk with Burning Horizon and I applied the .pak to the ...Kursk/data directory below c:\program files.
This system is using an ATI 9800pro with cat 6.7.
I've also applied the 1.4 patch.
So in frustration I installed a clean copy on a second machine hoping to test it out with the save gave from the other system. This second machine uses Nvidia FX5200. Guess what same problem, and the explosion patch still does nothing.
So I just can't progress at all now the game crashes on two different systems with different OS (XP, W2000), different graphics (ATI & Nvidia).
Any ideas?
Peter

This is most peculiar. From what you report it seems that your saved game is somehow hosed.
I'd advise you restart playing the mission from the very start. In order to do so use your German Mission End Auto saved game, this jumps you back to the end of the preceding mission and makes sure all the parameters that made your Prokhorovka mission crash will be reinitialized.

Hi Peter,
If you are using the saved games this is where the problem lies, even if you are using the No-Explosion Patch. This is because the saved game uses all the data as it was when you saved it. If this is prior to you installing the patch it will still have the planes exploding and causing the crash.
Unfortunately, you will need to start the mission again with the patch installed and this should then prevent the planes exploding.
