Throw me a bone here.......
It did start out as a very exciting battle...We kicked off and then the purple smoke came....I failed a couple of objectives because I fell back and mounted a spirited Defense...Yes I lost the hill and I lost the farm, but I never lost the two towns...I was able to slowly regroup, pound their arty down and then I began the offensive....Heres the problem...I retook the hill and then the farm but the farm objective arrow continues to reappear and gives me the objective clear message..over and over and over again...it keeps telling me the Russian tanks are on the way but I highly suspect they already came after I fell back and failed the objectives...The whole map is now clear but the objective arrows over the two objective towns ( the one in the West corner and the one central that I also held) will not clear even though the counter attacks may have already happened...
So is it a flaw or is it how I played...Is it a flaw that the "unofficial patch" should have cleared up or was it my tactics...I am in an endless loop here and no Russians left and the objectives will not clear...
Thanks for anything you might lend...

Interestingly in testing the loop only seems to show up under certain circumstances. Try playing again but keep the hill and the farm at all costs. It seems to occur if these are not held. Do not worry about holding onto most of the towns as you can retake these later. Otherwise you will have to wait for the patch I am afraid.

Thats what I was afraid of....In your expert opinions do you think if I install the patch and go back to an earlier save will the patch work? Or will it have to be a start over? I only ask because a lot of blood sweat and tears went into this particular mission and I just assume move on to the North Campaign and conclude it later....Thats a killer loop considering I thought I was making some sound tactical decisions...Oh thats a killer but it was an awesome ride....Keep up the good work and many thanks for watching these boards...

It may work if the saved game is for the same version of Kursk which it will not be. However it may be worth trying anyway but if the save is after the changes made by the patch the saved game may not work. Hopefully you have a saved game from before the hill and farm are over run. You may be lucky ! It is a pity to lose all the careful preparation ! Good luck ! I am glad you are finding it a challenge. It is a really hard mission especially on realistic .

Sorry breacherup, even with the patch you will need to start afresh. as any saved games will still have the bug. This is because the loop will kick off in the first few minutes of the game if you do not initially attack as ordered.
