Hello everybody... first of all i would say that blitzkrieg and all the add-ons are great games, but mission kursk is very too hard to play...And these mines !!!! Ok during this campain, german had to face this problem, but in the game it is getting so boring... I must ask you at what difficulty level you play. I play normal difficulty but for me it's too hard !!! Do i have to play in easy mode The enemy artilliery seems to be very precise and kill my troups so easily ! I have a problem with the engineers : even if i use fog gas to protect them, they get killed anyway when they try to remove mines... Perhaps i don't know how to play... This game is so good and i am so frustrated to be blocked (sorry for my english...) If you have some advice for me, I would be very gratefull to you... bye

Hi SmithKline, Game play in Mission Kursk is significantly different to the original Blitzkrieg. If you have not done so already I suggest you play through the tutorial mission which will highlight several differences and suggest suitable tactics. Also you may wish to check out this thread regarding the minefieds: activegaming.proboards3.com/index.cgi?board=mktactics&action=display&n=1&thread=435Artillery is actually less accurate than in the original Blitzkrieg. What you are possibly suffering from is mortar fire. Keep your men low and moving. Glad you think its difficult Regards Adrian Taylor ACTive Gaming

Adrian Is right, this takes some handleing, but if you take the bait, then you will have hard time.
Suggest you keep it slow and watch your front.
If you think this is difficult, then try original, and end up more frustrated.
'This as near real as it gets', 'so', enjoy. ;D
Bon chace

For me I also play everything normal and yes first try with Kursk was hmmm different ;D but once you figure out how to use all your units and the new ranches most effective you will find out, there is no better gameplay on the market today.

thank you for your answers...
You 're right, with a little bit of practice I think I 'll be able to get through these minefields... But now, something else is frustrating me : the bugs in the game...To be more precise, I am talking about, objectives that don't clear even if you do what is asked...
For example in Butovo, if i remember well, you have to find russians that are directing artilliery fire from east and west of the map...I found those on west, but never found those on east. To end mission I had to use the cheat code...

There is no bug, those teams are still there. The missions ends eather if you find both teams or russian artillery destroys your artillery first. There is no need to cheat for the two objectives. Honestly it´s more easy to find the team in the east because it´s in the forrest east of your position or on the small hill north east of your position across the little water.

This is a great game that requires patience and good tactics. It is possible to clear all the objectives without cheating and the game has been thorougly tested and beaten fair and square on 'realistic/hard'. It was designed with realism in mind. It will never be easy and frontal assaults will lead to massive losses. Move slowly and carefully only after a very thorough and careful recce ! Some of the objectives will only clear when the last Russian soldier is found and as Zit has suggested these may be very well hidden. Hang in there ! This game is really worth the effort but beware , when you get the hang of the game play, it becomes highly addictive !!!!
