The 1.4 update for Mission Kursk is now available to download from our website. This update includes the following:
Bug Fixes Patch 1.4
Mission Related
1) Mission SM 2 Cherkasskoe: Fixed a scripting error that prevented the Russian armoured counter-attack to appear if the player did not attack Cherkasskoe with units from 11th Panzer.
2) Mission SM 6 Road to Prokhorovka: Fixed a scripting error that would not allow the mission to finish after completion of all objectives if "bogus" AI units appeared around supply dumps after the objective location had been cleared.
3) Mission RM1 Rzhavets: Re-balanced mission by removing engineer truck thus preventing player from laying extensive minefields before the German attack.
4) Mission NM4: Corrected "passability" on Pontoon Bridge.
5) Mission SM5: GD to the Rescue: Corrected scripting error that under certain conditions allowed player units to enter Tolstoe Woods before Russian Reinforcements arrived.
Unit Related
1) Increased the passability rating for the Opel Blitz Cargo unit. At times this unit became stuck on certain terrain and thus may have been the cause of memory conflict crashes.
2) Fixed the wondering nature of self-propelled AA units such as the Sdkfz 10/4 and Sdkfz 7/1. These units will now remain stationery and will not chase after enemy planes.
3) Increased the vulnerability of the German open top SP guns such as the Marders.
4) Increased the traverse rate of the GAz AA mounted Machine guns, thus making it easier to engage enemy planes. Also increased it speed, but reduced its passability rating.
5) Amended the reload rate for certain Russian artillery pieces.
6) Increased the armour rating for the Russian Studebaker trucks.
7) Amended unit data files for several German Pz III's to reflect additional side armour plates correctly.
8) Corrected the weight parameter for the Panzer IVH. And amended several of the Panzer IV's data files to reflect correct spaced armour ratings.
9) Adjusted the range of several artillery pieces so that they no longer have a blind spot between direct fire and indirect fire.
10) Corrected sighting parameters for the Russian T34 "Guard" unit.
11) Fixed the Gaz 67 and Lend lease Willy Jeeps so that they can now tow light guns.
Added Features
1) Two new Russian single player missions, covering the Russian counter-offensive after Kursk to capture Kharkov.
2) Multiplayer enabled with one Assault & One Flag Control MP map.
3) Mission Kursk units and new buildings/objects can now be accessed via the MAP EDITOR to create both new single player and Multiplayer maps.
MP Play
The Multi-Player maps have been extensively tested and are stable playing over a LAN or Internet connection. However, players must make sure that they have a clean install of the original Blitzkrieg game and have exactly the same update files in the Mission Kursk Data folder.
MP play has also been successfully tested using the Stalingrad ailogic file.
Potential "Wrong Resource" Error Messages
If you are experiencing these messages while attempting MP play, it most likely means you have a conflict of data files. You will need to re-check that you have a clean install of Blitzkrieg and Mission Kursk.
If you are still experiencing these messages there maybe an issue with the localisation of the Mission Kursk installation. For example if you are trying to play against a gamer with a German install and you have an English or French. Presently we have no fix for this issue.
Potential "Sync Errors"
These will occur during games that have successfully connected. They have a variety of causes, with the most common listed below:
1) Using differing ailogic files.
2) Using differing data files.
3) High Ping rates.
