Question GD to Rescue

Just a question, yesterday i started to play this mission and i tried to defend this village in the south west Berezovka . The order is to hold the west part of the village. Everything till then went well. The attacks on the hill in the north east was ok and i could hold it thanks to the Stug of Frantz. The village in the east was to defend thanks to the tanks. But to hold this west part of Berezovka , didn´t manage to do so yesterday. I placed mines everywhere in the timeframe that was available. I placed the only Pz4 and Pak 50 able to break the amours of the T34 in good positions, only one AA gun for all the air activity during the attack. And then, when you just think you could handle the attack the second wave approaches with the SU 150. I also tried to get the two Panther from the north east there to rescue the poor guys there. But the defence positions of the Russians on the way were to strong.
So just as a question, is it planned to loose west Berezovka, because i received new orders to hold the east part and also got reinforcements in the north east?

No Its not Important to lose the west of the town, but not the east, that you must hold.

Allso did your Panthers go via the north north east near the wood, where this all started from, if so avoid at all costs, did you enccounter any monsters(KVs).

The wood, That is the last objective.
