Hi Adrian.... I have not been able to get MK to run so I decided to try my luck with MB...upgraded my card to 256 and my ram to 1.5 gig....I still get CTD with memory read errors when I use the RT disk 2 with the starforce protection and the original game exe...now when I use a third party game exe  I still CTD but with no memory read errors..it goes straight to my desktop....sorry to be a pain but do you have any suggestions??? correct forum ..if not let me know where to post this and what the criteria are for technical help questions Thanks S |

Sorry to here you are still having problems with both games. Just to make doubly sure you have no other mod files installed.?
Also do you get the same with the original blitzkrieg game?

Reading through Thinkmans' post in the Kursk Technical thread, and if you have no mod conflicts, I think this is down to memory issues with your motherboard. Thus, increasing RAM and vid card may not help.

No other mods installed Adrian..just RT 1.3 patch and in MB directory, range mod and enviro update
One thing I did notice was that when I downloaded the 1.3 patch from CDV the program installed three file RT_szenarios.pak, MP_map_pack_1.3.pak and MP menu.pak but they all had zero bytes...I found the originals and copied them over.....elimininated the memory issue ..I think...installed three fresh sticks of matching ram and I was assured by the tech that my MB was fine..sockets, Bios settings, conflicts etc...of course his suggestion was "software issue"
I had a few issues to start with original BK but with a little tinkering (display settings and the like ) it ran fine...that was my primary reason for buying MB/MK as I really like the game....don't get me wrong I like what I have seen so far it's just frustrating as heck not to know what the prob is.....
I read thinkman's post and have looked at the different points mentioned but I guess we were getting off topic ..thought it was all tech help...
Plan to uninstall RT and install original BK and try it there again with my new set up....
