barbarossa Im stuck

Hey any one .
Two weeks and stuck, going on hols and need this sorted.

I think it is the historical mission after bobruisk!
You need to get 4 panzers along the road to the east.

Once attacked you are also supposed to defend the village.

I get smashed every time !! then it comes up"did not defend village!"

I got my 88 and 2 pak38's,brought down the other gun , plus AA to take out infantary.

Flanked and took out russian heavy guns.

My tanks get smashed all infantry killed , really struggling!!! help an old bloke who loves this game

Hi, if you find you can't hold the village you can operate a retreat to your main bridgehead forces to the west. Just leave a few squads in the village to delay the Russian counter-attack, and retreat and set up all other valuable units (esp. the 88 and Pz IVs) behind the infantry in their trenches.

Once the Russian armored storm abates, you can move forward again and take the village back.

Hi Mark,

This mission is where it starts getting difficult and the Russians fight back!

It is not necessary to hold the village "at all cost", so it is better to delay them and then pull back to the defence line on the western edge of the map. You should have time to deploy your artillery and lay a few mines, but not make any wide ranging counter-attacks as this will distract you from your main defence.

After that it is basically hold the line and wait for reinforcements. You should get Stuka and fighter support eventually, but not straight away.
