Ostfront:Barbarossa is multiplayer enabled. All that is required is some MP maps and players to all have Ostfront:Barbarossa installed and enabled.
When creating maps some consideration will need to made due to the range and sight increases and the re-balancing of some units compared to the original Blitzkrieg.

So we need to make our own maps?
We need to transfer over the other MP mps I guess if we just name the maps like for example
Divs Tank factory{OSTMOD}

Hi Wolfseven, As you're certainly aware the scale in Ostfront is very different from the original Blitzkrieg, you can in theory port an existing MP map over to Ostfront, but any map with a size lower than 16x16 may result in very cramped gameplay due to the extended range of fire & sight of Ostfront. Even in the advent you can port an existing map, you'll have to rework the units layout especially infantry, as Ostfront uses almost exclusively custom-made squads. You also have to take special care of the presence of "88" guns as they're infinitely more powerful than in BK (AA 88s shouldn't be used on maps for example). There are also a lot of balancing to take care of when tanks come into play. The Pz III H present in Ostfront for example doesn't exist in BK & ideally should be present in fair numbers. The T-34 & KVs must be introduced very parcimoniously as like in reality they're pretty much impervious (especially the KVs) to German tanks. Hopes that clears out the issue a bit for you.

We have started work on some MP maps for Ostfront and after a few false starts things are looking good. We will be releasing a few starter maps first for free download. These will be amendments to some of the original Blitz maps, just re-balanced for use with Ostfront. Just a couple of comments though for you budding map makers: 1) It is important that you have a clean install of Blitzkrieg with the Ostfront Add On activated when creating maps. It seems any stray file out of place in the orginal Run\Data directory will cause 'no end' of wrong resource errors. 2) No real need to have large maps for Ostfront. 12 by 12 seems to be the optimum size. Of course this may change when we release further Add-Ons and the big guns start firing 12 by 12 is roughly equal to 1500 meters, which is fine for most engagements. 3) Less detail is best. No need to go over the top with terrain. Just give an impression. You will have less time to admire the landscapes anyway. Adrian

We will soon have the first MP maps available for download.
Successfuly tested the initial test map using both LAN and Internet (Game Spy). and can report the games were very smooth.

I will post a list soon of all those units that all fully compatible with Ostfront:Barbarossa. ie they don't cause 'wrong resources' errors and they are appropriately balanced for use with Ostfront: Barbarossa. Although for vehicles this is fairly straight forward being the re-textured units.
And, yes you will need to upgrade to MAP EDITOR 1.4 to use the new planes.

Looks like there is an issue with all types of fir trees. I have a map 16 by 18, which works fine until I add these trees. For now create maps without them and see if you get the same issues.

Okay, I here you are still having problems Robin. I will post a notice of all units that can be used and terrain types. So far, I have an Assault map up and running 1.2MB in size with numerous unit types and terrain (except for fur trees). Runs a dream over the network LAN but will test using GS later today or tomorrow.
