Sorry for the delay in responding, been busy I have jsut received my final batch of new units, so once I have these intergrated into the maps Ostfront will be going for final Beta. I was hoping for an end of April release date, but this will more likely be mid May realistically. Due to my comitment to producing this mod and providing new models I will be retailing this Mod as an unofficial Add-On similar to the Total Challenge series. Obviously if it is well supported there will be future campaign packs with further additional units. Adrian

Adrian, What will the data size of the product be? If you are retailing this add-on, similiarly to the Intex products, will it be possible to buy it, and download it (if it turns out to be not too large a download) from the internet. I am currently still waiting for the Intex products to be retailed here in Australia. Simply because if I ordered it from Russia, the added cost of freight would nearly double the price. Which would bring the price (with currency conversion) up nearly to the cost of buying a full game from the local retailer. As you can see, this is a bit of a predicament to us, in this part of the world. regards sunray

Unfortunately, it will not be available to download as I don't have the appropriate security set up (this would cost me alot and would have to to be passed on). However, one of my beta testers lives down under and air mail is minimal at around £2 to £3. I intend charging postage 'as is' not a flat rate . Delivery is usually within 5 working days. Adrian

Adrian, I guess that prompts the next question. How much will you be charging for the add-on? I am still playing the Hagelstrum mod. In the mission that I am currently playing, once you reach a certain area, the AI sends wave after wave of infantry/tanks at you until you take the next objective. It's really whittling away my reserves. The German experience/skill advantage doesn't seem to count for much either. And I find that my Flak 18's are firing numerous rounds to take out a T34. regards sunray

Retail will be £15.
I hope to release some SP stand-alone missions and MP maps in the near future. These will be available free of charge for download.

Sorry. End of May looks like slipping Ostfront is in the final stages of Beta test, so will make every effort to get it ready for release by June 6th. Adrian

Well, in that case, I guess we wait. Better to have it working properly, than to rush it out and have bugs in it. But seeing as how we are being good supporters, and waiting patiently, how about showing us a couple of informative screenshots, or maybe a new unit or two to make the wait worthwhile. Doesn't hurt to ask you know........ regards sunray ;D

I have just two more guns to re-texture plus another surprise vehicle and the Me 110. Will be posting shots of these soon. Maybe the Beta testers would like to post some screen shots of the action Edgecrusher has kindly provided me with additional sounds for individual weapons. Thus, you will be able to distinguish by sound alone what gun is engaging your troops. ;D Adrian
